20 year old, non-rebuilt cars with 275k+ miles that have poor maintenance aren't reliable.
(unless you're counting "reliably problematic")

Repairs on these cars, TT *or NA are outrageous.
Heater core? remove the dash
Sensitive electronics? Cash Cannon fodder
Tires? not cheap
Injectors failing? you betcha! (Reload Cash Cannon)
Automatic trans giving out? (READ: Cash Cannon)
etc, etc.

Although you can totally roll one, as ttz'in points out, it'd be a gas & go til it blows type of deal.

You can really find a much lower mileage, better condition Z for ~ the same price.
Hell, double the price, take off 100k+ miles and you have cheap TT.

Look around, you'll find a much better NA than that. ;-)
